Trading Update

In terms of paragraph 3.4 (b) of the JSE Limited (“JSE”) Listings Requirements, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as a reasonable degree of certainty exist that the financial results for the
period to be reported on will differ by at least 20% from the previous corresponding period.

A review by management of the financial results for the 12 month period ended 28 February 2017 has
indicated, with a reasonable degree of certainty, that earnings per share (“EPS”) of Brikor is expected to be
between 0.5 cents and 1.0 cents compared to that of the previous corresponding period which reported EPS
of 5.2 cents per share for the period ended 29 February 2016. This equates to a decline in EPS of between
81% and 90% when compared to the previous reporting period.

Headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) is expected to be between 4 cents and 5 cents compared to the
previous corresponding period which reported HEPS of 5.6 cents per share for the period ended 29 February
2016. This equates to a decline in HEPS of between 11% and 29% when compared to the previous reporting
period.

The main reason for the sharp decline in EPS is the impairment of the Donkerhoek quarry.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by
Brikor’s auditors. The Company’s financial results for the year ended 28 February 2017 are expected to be
released before the end of July 2017.
