WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT

Buildmax shareholders ("Shareholders") are referred to the cautionary announcement published
on SENS on 22 May 2017 and the renewal thereof published on SENS on 3 July 2017.

Shareholders are advised that Buildmax has been in discussions with Extract Group Limited
("eXtract") in relation to the acquisition by Buildmax of 99% of the issued shares in PT MCC
Extraction Solutions in Indonesia from eXtract. Agreement on the final transaction terms has not
been reached, however Buildmax is confident of concluding the transaction in the coming weeks.

The transaction is anticipated to be for nominal consideration of R1.00, and is therefore not
anticipated to be a categorised transaction in terms of the JSE Limited’s Listings Requirements.
Nonetheless, a further announcement will be published once the final transaction terms have
been finalised.

Accordingly, caution is no longer required to be exercised by Shareholders when dealing in
Buildmax shares.
