John Hofmeister, the chairman of Erin Energy Corporation’s (the “Company”) board of directors (the
“Board”), William J. Campbell and Ira Wayne McConnell have informed the Company that they will
not stand for re-election and will be retiring from service as members of the Board effective as of the
date of the Company’s 2017 annual stockholders’ meeting. Their decisions to retire from service as
members of the Board did not involve any disagreement with the Company, the Company’s
management or the Board.
