TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 28 FEBRUARY 2017

In terms of the JSE Listings Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon
as they are satisfied with a reasonable degree of certainty that the financial results of the period to be
reported upon will differ by 20% or more from the financial results of the previous corresponding period.

The Company expects earnings per share (“EPS”) to be between 190.6 cents and 198.4 cents per share
(2016: 156.2 cents per share) reflecting an increase of between 22% and 27% on the previous period.

The Company expects headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) to be between 191.1 cents and 198.9 cents
per share (2016: 156.6 cents per share) reflecting an increase of between 22% and 27% on the previous
period.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed by the Company’s
auditors. The Company’s financial results will be released on or about 18 May 2017.
