CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS


In compliance with paragraph 3.59(c) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board of
directors of Buildmax (“the Board”) hereby notifies shareholders of the following change to the
Board:

-   Mr Jackie Mathebula has resigned as an executive director of a company within the Buildmax
    group of companies, Diesel Power Opencast Mining Proprietary Limited, with effect from 31
    March 2017.

    Further to this, Mr Mathebula will no longer serve as an executive director of Buildmax, but will
    continue to serve as a non-executive director of Buildmax with effect from 31 March 2017.

-   Mr Mathebula will continue to serve as Chairman of the Social, Ethics and Transformation
    Committee.
