NOTIFICATION IN TERMS OF SECTION 122(3) OF THE COMPANIES ACT

This notice is in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings
Requirements and section 122(3) of the Companies Act 71 of 2008, as amended.

On 20 February 2017, the company announced that accounts under the management of
JP Morgan Chase & Co (“JP Morgan”) had increased to 5.36% of the total issued ordinary
shares in Woolworths Holdings Limited.

Shareholders are now advised that the percentage shareholding has decreased to 4.07%, as
advised by JP Morgan on 4 April 2017.
