direct purchases and/or shares and share options acquired in terms of the rules of the Massmart
Holdings Limited Employee Share Trust. After the abovementioned sale, Mr Hayward still holds 447 603
Massmart shares or options.

Clearance has been obtained in terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements.
