CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Afrox shareholders are advised, in terms of paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, that Ms Nolitha Fakude has been appointed to the Afrox board of directors as an independent
non-executive director with immediate effect. Ms Fakude will also serve as a member of the Company’s
Nominations, Governance and Management of Resources Committee.

Ms Fakude has 25 years’ experience across multiple and complex organisations in diverse industries.
She has held a number of senior positions including executive director at Sasol, chairperson of Sasol
Mining, non-executive director for Harmony Gold, director and group executive member at Nedbank
Limited as well as managing director at the Black Management Forum. Ms Fakude will join the board
of Anglo American Plc with effect from 24 April 2017 and has previously served as a non-executive
director on the boards of Datacentrix Holdings and Woolworths. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from
Walter Sisulu University and Bachelor of Arts Honours from the Walter Sisulu University.
