AMENDMENT TO THE DIVIDEND DECLARATION PURSUANT TO THE INCREASE IN THE DIVIDEND
WITHHOLDING TAX RATE

Shareholders are referred to the increase in Dividend Withholding Tax from 15%
to 20% as announced by the Minister of Finance, Mr Pravin Gordhan, in his budget
speech on
22 February 2017

Notice is hereby given that as a result of the dividend declaration relating to
BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO PLC (BTI) shares, the holders of BTISTE share
instalments will receive a BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO PLC (BTI) dividend per
Instalment.

Gross Dividend 1927.51010 cents
Dividend Withholding Tax Rate 20%
Net Dividend 1542.00808cents

Last date to trade cum dividend Tuesday, 14/03/2017
Ex-dividend Date Wednesday, 15/03/2017
Record Date Friday, 17/03/2017
