Subsequently, the Board has engaged with shareholders and members of the investment community and has resolved to terminate the Scheme in accordance with the provisions of clause 32.2 thereof with immediate effect. There are no share options, share appreciation rights, performance shares or any other benefits in terms of the Scheme outstanding as at the date of termination. Further, the Board is assessing the merits of a share repurchase. Further details will be announced in due course. Astoria will continue with its stated objective of achieving strong USD capital appreciation over the medium-to-long-term by investing in global, equity-dominated holdings of primarily direct, high-quality listed businesses.
