END OF TENURE OF CEO
On 31 October 2016, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Trans-Caledon Tunnel
Authority (TCTA), Mr James Ndlovu reached the end of his contract. Mr Ndlovu has served
two contract terms since assuming the position in November 2008.

ACTING CEO
With effect from 1 November 2016 Mr Leonard Radzuma, currently Chief Risk Officer
(CRO) has been appointed by the Board of TCTA as acting CEO. The appointment will
ensure continuity and stability in the organization while the board searches for a
permanent replacement to the CEO.

Mr Radzuma is the holder of a BCom (Accounting) degree from the University of Venda
and a Master of Business Leadership (MBL) degree from the Unisa Graduate School of
Business Leadership (SBL); he has been the CRO of TCTA since July 2010.

BOARD EXPRESSION OF THANKS TO CEO
The Chairperson of the TCTA Board, Ms Monhla Hlahla, said that Mr Ndlovu has served
the organisation with distinction since joining it in November 2008.

During his tenure, the TCTA expanded its project portfolio significantly, growing from two
to eleven projects. Also, the organisation diversified its project mix from its original focus
on building large dams and inter-basin transfer pipelines to implementing small-scale
community water supply schemes and the treatment of acid mine drainage (AMD).

Under his leadership, TCTA has vigorously implemented an enterprise development
programme, centered on enhancing the capacity of black-owned enterprises and on
creating strong and sustainable communities.

“Mr Ndlovu leaves this organisation in a great state; he should be very proud of what he
has achieved here”, said Ms Hlahla.

Investors will be kept informed of further developments with regard to the leadership of the
TCTA.
