DIRECTOR SHAREHOLDING


The Company has received notification of the following transactions involving the acquisition of ordinary shares of
1 pence each (“Shares”) in the Company on 28 October 2016 through the Company's Scrip Dividend Scheme. The
Shares, with exception of Exdiem Trust, were acquired on the London Stock Exchange at 61.58 pence per share, being
the Scrip Dividend Scheme reference share price. Exdiem Trust acquired shares on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange
at ZAR 1,091.81, being the Scrip Dividend Scheme reference share price as converted to Rand at the time the pricing
was announced.

Family members of Louis Norval, a Non-Executive Director, have a beneficial interest in The Kiyoma Lakes Trust and
Rose Trust. Following these transactions the revised beneficial interest of Louis Norval and his family members in
ordinary shares of the Company is 137,102,157. Exdiem Trust is a connected party of Louis Norval although he does
not have a beneficial interest in the entity.

Separate to the above the Company received notification on 31 October 2016 that PDI Investment Holdings Ltd had
pledged on 31 October 2016 a further 25,751,894 of its holding of ordinary shares in the Company as security in
respect of an investment arrangement. This results in all of PDI Investment Holdings Ltd’s shareholding of 65,462,806
shares, representing 9.321% of the Company’s issued share capital, being subject to the pledge. The shareholding is
maintained on the London Stock Exchange. Louis Norval, a Non-Executive Director of the Company, has a beneficial
interest in PDI Investment Holdings Ltd.
