Trading Statement MONTAUK HOLDINGS LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 2010/017811/06) (Share code: MNK & ISIN: ZAE000197455) ("MNK" or "the company") TRADING STATEMENT In terms of section 3.4 (b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably certain that the financial results for the current reporting period will be more than 20% different than that of the previous corresponding period. Shareholders are hereby advised that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that for the six months ended 30 September 2016, the Company will report basic earnings per share of between 4.70 and 4.25 US cents, being between an increase of 5,5% and a decrease of 4,5% as compared to the restated prior comparative period basic earnings per share of 4.45 US cents. Headline earnings per share is expected to be between 4.67 and 4.41 US cents, being an improvement of between 278,3% and 268,3%, as compared to the restated prior comparative period headline earnings per share of (2.62) US cents. Basic earnings per share in the prior comparative period included once-off proceeds of $9.9 million in respect of the disposal of retired emission reduction credits (“ERCs”).
