DELAYED UNAUDITED INTERIM RESULTS FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 JUNE 2016

Shareholders are referred to the Delayed interim results in respect of the six months ended 30 June
2016, cautionary announcement and trading statement published on the Stock Exchange News
Service (“SENS”) on 3 October 2016, wherein it was advised, inter alia, that the Company’s
unaudited interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2016 (“Interim Results”) were expected to
be released on SENS by Friday, 14 October 2016.

In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited (“Listings Requirements”), Trencor’s
Interim Results were to have been published by or before 30 September 2016. As articulated in the
Trading Statement published on SENS on 3 October 2016, it was not possible for Trencor to publish
its Interim Results by then. Regrettably, the Company was not in a position to publish its Interim
Results, as earlier expected, by 14 October 2016, due to the on-going uncertainty in relation to the
Hanjin bankruptcy matter. Shareholders are now advised that the Company expects to publish its
Interim Results on SENS on or before 21 October 2016.

Shareholders are advised to consider any announcement issued by the JSE Limited in regard to
Trencor’s failure to timeously publish its Interim Results in this context.
