Timon Drakesmith, an Executive Director of the Company, has been appointed as a non-executive
director to the board of The Merchants Trust PLC with effect from 1 November 2016.

The Merchants Trust PLC is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a member of the
FTSE All-Share and FTSE SmallCap indices.

This announcement is made in accordance with UK Listing Rule 9.6.14.


Hammerson has its primary listing on the London Stock Exchange and a secondary inward listing
on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
