APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF RISK OFFICER

Shareholders are advised that Octodec has appointed Stephanie Ainsworth (42) as chief risk officer, with
effect from 1st September 2016.

Stephanie is an admitted attorney with in excess of 15 years’ experience and has been the legal manager
and compliance officer for the Octodec group of companies for the past 6 years. She will be the first
female chief risk officer ever appointed by Octodec and will be taking over from Peter Kruger, who
remains a director of City Property Administration Proprietary Limited, the property and asset
management company acting on Octodec’s behalf. Stephanie will attend Octodec’s Risk Committee
meetings by invitation.

In addition to providing legal counsel to the Octodec group of companies, Stephanie is also the vice-
chairperson to the legal committee of the South African Property Owners Association. As chief risk
officer, Stephanie will use her technical legal ability acquired in the property industry, to assess and
mitigate not only the legal and regulatory risk inherent in concluding business transactions, but also
managing the operational and strategic risk of the organisation. In May 2011, Stephanie obtained her
Masters of Law specialising in Commercial Law (focusing on banking and company law) and is currently
studying a Post-graduate Diploma in Management Practice at the University of Cape Town, Graduate
School of Business.
