Posting of integrated annual report and no change statement

Shareholders are advised that the unabridged annual financial statements and integrated
annual report of Buildmax will be published on the Company’s website
(www.buildmax.co.za) with effect from today, 31 August 2016, concurrently with the
distribution of the Notice of Annual General Meeting, containing, inter alia, the abridged
annual financial statements.

There are no modifications to the reviewed provisional results published on SENS on
31 May 2016.

Notice of annual general meeting

Notice is hereby given that the annual general meeting of the Company will be held at 11:00
on Thursday, 10 November 2016, at The Country Club Johannesburg, 1 Napier Road,
Auckland Park, Johannesburg, to transact the business as stated in the notice of the annual
general meeting.

The board of directors of the Company has determined that the record date for purposes of
determining which shareholders of the Company are entitled to participate in and vote at the
annual general meeting is Friday, 4 November 2016. Accordingly the last day to trade in the
Company’s shares in order to be recorded in the register to be entitled to vote will be
Tuesday, 1 November 2016.
