NOTIFICATION IN TERMS OF SECTION 122(3) OF THE COMPANIES ACT AND
SECTION 3.83(b) OF THE JSE LISTINGS REQUIREMENTS
In accordance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, 71 of 2008 ("the Act"), and
section 3.83(b) of the JSE Listing Requirements, holders of ordinary shares in Ascendis are
advised that, following Coast2Coast Capital Proprietary Limited’s participation in the
Ascendis rights offer, the results of which were released on the Stock Exchange News
Service of the JSE Limited on 8 August 2016, Coast2Coast Holdings Proprietary Limited
Group’s (“Coast2Coast”) beneficial interests in the securities of the Company amount to
37.14% of the total number of shares in issue.
Ascendis hereby confirms that it has received the required notice from Coast2Coast in terms
of Section 122(1) of the Act. As required in terms of section 122(3) (a) of the Act, Ascendis
has filed the required notice with the Takeover Regulation Panel.
