CHANGES TO THE BOARD
In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, Finbond
Group Limited wishes to advise shareholders of the resignation of Mr. Gary
Sayers as Financial Director of Finbond with effect from 30 June 2016. Mr.
Sayers has decided to pursue his own business interests. The board of Finbond
wishes to thank Mr. Sayers for the valuable contributions he has made to the
Company and wish him all the best with his future endeavours.
In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements,
shareholders are advised that Mr. Corne Eksteen has been appointed and will
assume the role of Financial Director of Finbond from 1 July 2016.
Corne is a versatile senior financial executive with significant experience
in strategic and financial business planning, day-to-day management of the
finance department and operational improvements for high-level and complex
initiatives. Corne has a combination of strong business knowledge,
international experience and technical abilities that he gained from various
senior level positions held at companies in Sub-Saharan Africa, and the
United States of America.
Corne is a qualified South African Chartered Accountant since 2000 and United
States of America Certified Public Accountant since 2005.
Corne has served as Group Financial Manager at Finbond Group Limited
responsible for the group wide finance and statutory functions since 2015.
Prior to Finbond Group Limited, Corne served as the Chief Financial Officer
for FNB Trust Services (Pty) Ltd including representing them as a Non-
Executive Director of FNB Trust Service (Namibia) (Pty) Ltd. Before that,
Corne spent 7 years in the financial services industry in Washington DC as
a management consultant and the Director: Analysis, Analytics and Controls
at the Federal National Mortgage Association, commonly known as Fannie Mae.
Corne completed his articles at KPMG South Africa, where he stayed on for 3
years in a management role before moving to PWC in Washington DC. He obtained
his B.Com (Accounting) Honours from the University of Pretoria.
