Javier Ferrán, an independent non-executive director, has informed the company of his
intention to join the board of Diageo plc with effect from 22 July 2016. In consequence, Mr
Ferrán will step down as a director of SABMiller plc with effect from the company’s annual
general meeting on 21 July 2016, when he will not stand for re-election.
