Legal Proceedings – Update Announcement Datacentrix Holdings Limited Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa (Registration number 1998/006413/06) Share code: DCT ISIN: ZAE000016051 ("Datacentrix" or "the Company") LEGAL PROCEEDINGS – UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENT Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on SENS yesterday, 14 April 2016, pertaining to an application brought by Dimension Data Proprietary Limited (“the Applicant”) in the High Court of South Africa regarding a bid awarded by the Department of Justice & Constitutional Development (“DOJ & CD”) to Datacentrix Proprietary Limited for a Court Recording Technology Solution in January 2015. Datacentrix, together with the DOJ & CD and 12 other ICT service providers were cited in the application brought in the High Court by the Applicant. The application seeks to review and set aside the bid award granted in January 2015 by DOJ & CD to Datacentrix on the grounds of alleged irregularities in the adjudication process. During 2006 the Applicant was granted a three year contract by the DOJ & CD for the provision of the Court Recording Technology Solution. After expiry of the original contract in 2009, the tender was republished a number of times over the next five years but was never awarded, and accordingly the applicant continued, and still continues to provide the services to DOJ & CD under extensions to its original contract. In June 2014, another tender was published and adjudicated, and finally awarded to Datacentrix in January 2015. The Applicant has alleged that the adjudication process of the tender by the DOJ & CD was irregular and should be set aside. As stated in the SENS published yesterday, Datacentrix has now taken legal advice and hereby advises shareholders that it will be opposing the application.
