CONVERSION OF COMPANY FROM PRIVATE TO PUBLIC

We refer to the previous announcement dated 24 March 2016 in which Noteholders were
advised of MTN Holdings (Pty) Ltd plans to convert the company from a private to public entity.
The conversion has been lodged and effected accordingly with The Companies and Intellectual
Property Commission (“CIPC”).

Noteholders are advised that the company’s name has been amended to Mobile Telephone
Networks Holdings Limited. (“MTN Holdings Ltd”) and has now been converted from a private
to a public company, with effect from 5 April 2016.
