DOMESTIC MEDIUM TERM NOTE PROGRAMME (THE “SENIOR NOTES”)


African Bank Limited (under Curatorship) announces today, for the purposes of the Series
Exchange Offers in respect of the Senior Notes, the Record Date.

The Record Date shall be:

16 March 2016

As required by the Senior Consent and Exchange Offer Document dated 4 February 2016, this
notice is being given at least three Business Days prior to the Record Date.

The Record Date is the date from and including which all Senior Notes in each Series of Senior
Notes will be blocked in the Clearing System and trading in such Senior Notes will no longer be
permitted.

Capitalised terms used but not defined in this notice shall have the meaning given to them in the
Senior Consent and Exchange Offer Document dated 4 February 2016.
