MANAGEMENT CHANGE AND INTERIM RESULTS PRESENTATION
Resignation of CEO of Burger King South Africa (Pty) Ltd
(“BKSA”)
Shareholders are advised that after a three and a half year
period as Chief Executive Officer of BKSA, a wholly-owned
subsidiary of GPI, Mr. Jaye Sinclair has advised executive
management of his intention to resign and that consequently,
his tenure with BKSA will end on 29 February 2016.
The GPI board expresses its gratitude to Mr. Sinclair for his
significant contribution to BKSA, and acknowledges the role
that he played in establishing the BURGER KING® franchise in
South Africa.
Chairman Hassan Adams commented:
“Jaye was an integral part of the GPI family and we wish him
all of the best for his future overseas. Alan Keet and a
strong operational team will continue to build the BURGER KING®
franchise towards profitability within the wider Foods group
alongside our other premium brands. The GPI board remains
confident about the future prospects of the Foods business and
it fully supports current management in its objective of
keeping the momentum of this element of the business moving
forward.”
Mr. Sinclair will be relocating and joining an overseas firm in
the QSR sector.
Shareholders will be updated on the wider GPI strategy for its
Foods division, given the recent announcement of the
acquisition of the rights to establish the Dunkin’ Donuts and
Baskin-Robbins QSR brands, at the next interim results
presentation.
Interim results presentations
Presentations will be held in Johannesburg at the JSE on 16
March 2016 at 10:00 and in Cape Town at the Table Bay Hotel on
17 March 2016 at 10:00.
