The Company was notified on 12 February 2016 that on 8 October 2015 Mr Savio Kwan, a
Non-Executive Director of the Company, acquired 40 ordinary shares of 25p each in British
American Tobacco p.l.c. (the “Shares”) at a price of 3,669.8425 pence per Share as a result
of the reinvestment of his dividend income.

Following this transaction, Mr Kwan has a total beneficial and family interest in 3,040
Shares.
