Peter Bennett has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of the Murray & Roberts Oil & Gas business platform and of Clough Limited and will also join the Murray & Roberts Limited board with effect from 1 February 2016. He succeeds Kevin Gallagher, who was appointed CEO of Santos Limited. Mr Bennett is an experienced oil and gas executive and joins the Group after 26 years with Chicago Bridge & Iron Co. (“CB&I”), a leading global engineering, procurement and construction company focussed on energy infrastructure. His business leadership experience in the international oil & gas and liquefied natural gas markets includes general management, operations, project management, business development and mergers and acquisitions. He recently served as CB&I’s President, Oil & Gas International, based in The Hague, Netherlands. Prior to that he was CB&I’s Senior Vice President, Oil & Gas Operations Australia and Asia Pacific, based in Perth, Australia. He has working experience in Australia, Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and North America. Mr Bennett will be introduced to Murray & Roberts’ stakeholders at the Group’s interim results presentation towards the end of February 2016.
