RETIREMENT OF FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

Shareholders are advised of the retirement of the current financial director Mr. Hendrik Verreynne with
effect from 1 March 2016.

As part of the Company’s succession planning, Afrimat is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr.
Pieter de Wit as financial director, effective 1 March 2016. He will succeed Mr. Hendrik Verreynne who
will remain the financial director to ensure an effective transition until 29 February 2016.

Mr. Pieter de Wit is currently the Regional Director of the Company’s Kwazulu-Natal operations. He was
responsible for the strategic repositioning of these businesses since 1 October 2013. He has held
various leadership roles in Afrimat for 8 years, including Company Secretary and Chief Audit Executive.
He is a chartered accountant having completed his training at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He will also
receive his Masters’ in Business Administration (MBA) degree cum laude at the University of
Stellenbosch in December 2015.

The Afrimat board of directors would like to thank Hendrik for the valuable contribution he has made to
the Company during his tenure on the Board and wish him everything of the best with his future
endeavours.
