MEETING OF CREDITORS

Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on SENS on 29 September 2015 whereby
shareholders were advised that an interim interdict was granted by the High Court on 28 September 2015
postponing the creditors meeting scheduled for 29 September 2015 at which the Business Rescue Plan
was to be tabled for approval (“postponed creditors meeting”), and ordering the delivery by the Company
of certain documents pertaining to the Company, The Standard General Insurance Company Limited and
African Bank Limited to the applicants.

Shareholders are hereby advised that the Company complied with the interim interdict and furthermore
that the 30 days within which the applicants had to lodge an application to set aside the business rescue
proceedings or apply for the winding-up of the Company, lapsed on 9 November 2015.
Consequently, at the postponed creditors meeting which took place on 18 November 2015, the business
rescue practitioners provided creditors with an update on the status of the business rescue and
adjourned the meeting until 29 February 2016 (“adjourned meeting”).

The revised Business Rescue Plan, which will be published in due course, will be considered at the
adjourned meeting.

By order of Messrs Dawie van der Merwe and John Evans as joint business rescue practitioners and the
