TRADING STATEMENT

In accordance with paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, a company is
required to inform shareholders as soon as there is a reasonable degree of certainty that the
financial results of the company are likely to vary by more than 20% in comparison to the previous
reporting period.

Shareholders are advised that Nu-World is expecting to report the following for the year ended
31 August 2015:

   -   earnings per share of between 421.9 cents and 439.5 cents having increased by between
       20% and 25% in comparison to 351.6 cents reported for the prior comparative period; and
   -   headline earnings per share of between 421.3 cents and 438.9 cents having increased by
       between 20% and 25% in comparison to 351.1 cents reported for the prior comparative
       period.

The Group has enjoyed solid trading results over the period.

The financial information on which this trading statement has been based has not been reviewed
or reported on by the Group’s auditors. The Group’s results for the year ended 31 August 2015 are
expected to be published on or about 28 October 2015.
