Protection for Whistle-Blowers

Section 159 (7) of the Companies Act No. 71 of 2008, as amended
(“the Act”), requires public companies to, inter alia, establish
and maintain a system to allow them to receive confidential
disclosures, contemplated in terms of this section of the Act read
with the Protected Disclosures Act No. 26 of 2000, as amended, and
to act on them, as well as routinely publicise the availability of
the system to its stakeholders.

City Lodge, in collaboration with Whistle Blowers Pty Ltd, an
independent service provider, maintains a confidential business
abuse alertline facility for all its stakeholders to report any
unethical behaviour anonymously.

Stakeholders are therefore encouraged to make use of the
facilities below, as and when necessary.

    • The alertline operates 24 hours a day and is manned by trained
    operators.

    • Callers may choose to reveal their identity, which will assist
    with further investigations. Unless a caller indicates otherwise
    their identity will not be revealed to the company.

    • Information gathered will be analysed and provided to a
    designated   senior   official   in    the company who will
    confidentially investigate the matter.
