 Appointment of alternate non-executive director


 In compliance with Section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, Tharisa advises
 that Ms Joanna Ka Ki Cheng has been appointed to the Tharisa board as alternate non-executive
 director to Mr Brian Chi Ming Cheng with effect from 25 September 2015.

 Ms Cheng, a Canadian national, is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of
 Chartered Accountants of Ontario, Canada. She has more than 15 years’ experience in business
 development, investment and management and is the General Manager (Energy) of
 NWS Infrastructure Management Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NWS Holdings Limited
 (NWS), a company whose shares are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and a subsidiary of
 which holds 15.85% of Tharisa’s issued share capital. Before joining NWS, Ms Cheng worked at
 audit firms in Canada and Hong Kong.
