Mr Sangqu is currently the Executive Head of Anglo American South Africa and is being appointed onto the Company’s board as a shareholder representative of Anglo American plc. He currently also serves as the Vice President of the Chamber of Mines. His qualifications include, amongst others, a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours), a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters of Business Leadership. Mr Sangqu will serve as a member of the Board’s Social, Ethics and Transformation Committee.
