Portfolios in the NewFunds Collective Investment Scheme in Securities registered as such in terms of the
Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, 45 of 2002 (the “Act”) and managed by NewFunds Proprietary
Limited (Registration Number 2005/034899/07)

REPLACEMENT AND APPOINTMENT OF INDEX PROVIDER AND CHANGE OF PORTFOLIO NAME FOR NEWFUNDS COLLECTIVE 
INVESTMENT SCHEME

In an announcement released on the Stock Exchange News Service (“SENS”) of the JSE Limited (“JSE”) on
15 May 2015, investors were advised that the current index provider, Research Affiliates, LLC (“Research
Affiliates”) will with effect from 31 May 2015 no longer provide services to the NewFunds eRAFI portfolios
and that S&P Dow Jones Indices (“S&P”) has been appointed to replace Research Affiliates as the index
provider. As a result of the change in index provider the respective names of the NewFunds eRAFI portfolios
will also change (collectively the “Amendments”).

As detailed in the SENS announcement of 15 May 2015, investors participated in a balloting process and
approved the Amendments.

Application for the Amendments was made to the JSE and the Financial Services Board (“FSB”) and
NewFunds is pleased to confirm that approval has been granted by both regulators and that the
Amendments will come into effect on 1 June 2015.

The new names of the respective NewFunds eRAFI portfolios as approved by the JSE and FSB are set out
below:

announced on 15 May 2015, has not changed. For ease of reference it is repeated below:

Current investors may remain invested in the portfolios or opt out of their investment prior to the appointment
of S&P.
