Notification of transactions by connected person of Person Discharging Managerial 
Responsibilities (PDMR)

Glencore plc (Glencore or the Company) announces that pursuant to the Company’s
obligations under Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1.4, on 18 May 2015, FR Galaxy
Holdings S.a.r.l (FR), a connected person of William Macaulay, a Director and PDMR of the
Company, notified the Company that FR:

   1. on 12 May sold 22,172,511 shares at an average price per share of GBP3.016;

   2. on 13 May sold 4,139,740 shares at an average price per share of GBP3.015;

   3. on 14 May sold 1,499,095 shares at an average price per share of GBP3.010; and

   4. on 15 May sold 163,004 shares at an average price per share of GBP3.011 (together
      the Transactions).

All of the above Transactions took place in London.

In aggregate, the Transactions set out in 1-4 above totalled 27,974,350 shares being sold at an
average price per share of GBP3.016.

As a result of the Transactions, 42,071,878 shares remain held by FR. These shares remain
held subject to the financing arrangement with Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch (Deutsche
Bank), pursuant to which FR granted security over its shares in the Company in favour of
Deutsche Bank, as announced by the Company on 20 September 2013.
