                                     TRADING STATEMENT

In terms of paragraph 3.4 (b) of the JSE Limited (“JSE”) Listings Requirements, companies are
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial
results for the period to be reported on will differ by more than 20% from the previous
corresponding period.

Shareholders are advised that Gooderson is currently finalizing its results for the year ended 28
February 2015 and advises that headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) and earnings per share (“EPS”)
is expected to be between 6.2 and 6.6 cents or between 18% and 25% higher compared to the
corresponding period of 5.26 and 5.27 cents respectively.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or
reported on by Gooderson’s auditors. The company’s financial results for the year ended
28 February 2015 are expected to be released at the end of May 2015.
