Notification in terms of Section 122 of the Companies Act, No 71 of 2008 and clarification of
directors’ dealings

In accordance with section 122(3) (b) of the Companies Act, No 71 of 2008 and section 3.83(b) of the
JSE Limited`s Listings Requirements (“LR’s”), shareholders are hereby advised that the Company
has received formal notification of the following movement in securities of the Company:

SBG Securities (Pty) Ltd (“Standard Bank”) has acquired a beneficial interest in securities of the
Company. The total of Standard Bank’s beneficial interests in the securities of Village is now 10.09%.

Further to the announcement published on SENS on 17 April 2015 please note the following
clarification statement in compliance with paragraphs 3.63 to 3.74 (both inclusive) of the LR’s:
