Director Notification

Pursuant to Rule 17 of the AIM Rules for Companies ("AIM Rules"), Coal of Africa Limited ("CoAL" or the
"Company") announces the following required director's disclosure.

Thabo Mosololi, a non-executive director of CoAL, has informed the Company that Evraz Highveld Steel and
Vanadium Limited, a company of which Mr Mosololi is also a director, has commenced voluntary business
rescue proceedings in terms of section 129 of the South African Companies Act 2008

Save as disclosed above, there is no further information to be disclosed under the AIM Rules.
