FATALITY AT THE KHUMANI IRON ORE MINE

African Rainbow Minerals Limited (ARM) regrets to advise that two
employees were fatally injured in an incident at the Khumani Iron Ore
Mine on Sunday, 12 April 2015. The Khumani Iron Ore Mine is owned by
Assmang Proprietary Limited, which is jointly owned by ARM and Assore
Limited.

Production at the mine has since been halted and the incident is
currently being investigated.

The ARM Board of Directors and management express their sincere
condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the deceased.
