NOTICE OF AN ACQUISITION AND A SUBSEQUENT DISPOSAL OF A
BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN TRUWORTHS SECURITIES

Truworths advises shareholders in terms of Section 122(3)(b) of the Companies
Act, (no 71 of 2008, as amended) and paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Listings
Requirements, that the company has today received notifications that The
Goldman Sachs Group Inc (“Goldman Sachs”) had

   -   on 13 February 2015 acquired a beneficial interest in the company’s
       securities (“the acquisition”), and

   -   on 20 February 2015 disposed of a beneficial interest in the company’s
       securities (“the disposal”).

Following the acquisition and the disposal, Goldman Sachs held respectively
5.05% and 4.93% of the issued ordinary shares of the company.
