Richard had been a member of the Board since the Company’s listing in 1998. The Board would also like to announce the appointment of Mr Alan Steven Jacobs as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 19 February 2015. Mr Jacobs is a British national based in London, United Kingdom. He is a solicitor and investment banker by training, and is the founder and director of Jacobs Capital, a corporate finance and investment firm. He is a former Managing Director of Citigroup and J Henry Schroder Wagg & Co. Limited, and serves as a non-executive director on several boards of companies, including Iceland Foods. He has extensive investment and advisory experience in the European retail, tobacco, luxury goods and property sectors.
