UPDATE ON THE APPOINTMENT OF A FINANCIAL DIRECTOR TO SPFM

Holders of participatory interests in Sycom (“Unitholders”) are referred to the announcement
released on SENS on 9 June 2014, wherein Unitholders were advised that Craig Kotze had been
appointed as Financial Director of SPFM with effect from the later of 21 June 2014 and one business
day following the date of receipt of approval from the Financial Services Board of his appointment.

Unitholders are hereby advised that SPFM has, today, received notification from the Financial
Services Board that Craig Kotze’s appointment as Financial Director of SPFM has been approved.
Accordingly, Craig Kotze’s appointment as Financial Director of SPFM will be effective from
Thursday, 19 February 2015.
