(“Metair” or the “Company”)

TRADING STATEMENT

In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that, with a reasonable degree of certainty,
the financial results for the current reporting period will differ by at least 20% from the financial results
of the previous corresponding period.

Metair is in the process of finalising their results for the year ended 31 December 2014 (“Results”)
and shareholders are accordingly advised that the Company expects to report:

    -   Headline earnings per share to be between 32.42% and 39.27% higher (between 290 cents
        and 305 cents per share) than the 219 cents per share for the previous corresponding period;
        and
    -   Earnings per share to be between 28.82% and 35.37% higher (between 295 cents and 310
        cents per share) compared to the 229 cents per share for the previous corresponding period.

The above information has not been reviewed or reported on by the Company’s auditors. The group’s
results are expected to be published on or about 26 March 2015.
