Amendments to the JSE Listings Requirements – Section 12 (Mineral Companies)

The JSE has been involved in the development of the South African Code for reporting of Oil and Gas
(“SAMOG Code”), which is based on the National Instrument 51-101 in respect of general disclosures
and the Petroleum Resources Management System (as developed by the Petroleum Engineers, the
American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers and
the World Petroleum Council) in respect of the classification of resources and reserves.

The JSE has now adopted the SAMOG Code and has amended Section 12 of the JSE Listings
Requirements (the “Requirements”) to include a separate section for oil and gas companies.

Pursuant to Board Notice 38 of 2015 as published in the Government Gazette No.38452, the effective
date of the amendments to the Requirements will be 10 March 2015.

The final amendments to Section 12 of the Requirements and the SAMOG Code are available on the
JSE’s website: www.jse.co.za Route: Companies & Issuer Regulation/Issuer
