Rand Water is established in terms of the Water Services Act,
1997 (the “Act”). The Government of the Republic of South
Africa, through the Department of Water and Sanitation and
duly represented by the Minister of Water and Sanitation, is
the sole shareholder of Rand Water. In terms of the Act, Rand
Water's primary activity is the provision of bulk water supply
services (potable bulk water and sanitation services) within
the predetermined service area.

Highlights include:

Revenue: R8.66 billion (12% growth)

EBITDA:   R1 395 million

Net Income: R1.182 billion (18.6% increase)

Net cash from Operations: R1.43 billion (22% increase)

Capital Expenditure: R2.448 billion (40% increase)

Long-term Loans: R2.5 billion (65% increase)

Short-term Loans:        R2.5 million

Accumulated Reserves: R9.75 billion
