TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited’s Listing Requirements, a listed company is required
to publish a trading statement as soon as it is satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists
that the financial results for the period to be reported upon next will differ, by at least 20%, from
those of the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders are advised that the Group’s headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) and basic earnings
per share (“EPS”) for the six months ended 31 August 2014 are expected to be between 2.18 and
2.32 cents per share, being between 20% and 25% lower than the HEPS and EPS of 2.9 cents per
share reported for the previous six month period ended 31 August 2013.
The final announcement of the results for the half year ended 31 August 2014 will be released on
SENS on 31 October 2014.
This forecast financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed
and reported on by the Group’s external auditors.
