Dries will however, continue to serve the Group in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer. Furthermore, the Board hereby notifies shareholders that Nico de Waal has been appointed as a Non- Executive Director with immediate effect, and he will also join the Group’s Audit and Risk Committee. Nico’s appointment as a Non-Executive Director will facilitate Poynting’s endeavours to align the composition of the Board with the principles of King III. Nico holds a B.Eng (Mech) Cum Laude degree from the University of Stellenbosch and a MBA from IESE Business School of the University of Navarre (Spain). Nico began his career as an engineer with Baker Hughes Inc. (USA) in Scotland and the Middle East in the oil and gas exploration industry (1998-2000). He then specialised in strategy and operations work as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. (2001- 2007) and at SAB Miller (2008-2010). Nico joined the PSG Group in 2011 and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of PSG Private Equity.
