The Company’s 2014 summary financial review presented in a separate booklet containing the
Company’s summarized audited consolidated financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2014, has
been distributed by the close of business on Tuesday, 30 September 2014. The full audited annual
financial statements are also available on the Company’s website, at

Copies of the annual general meeting notice including the summarized audited financial statements and
the complete annual financial statements as at 30 June 2014 are obtainable from:

The annual financial statements referred to herein contain no modification relative to the audited
results that were published on 9 September 2014 through the JSE’s news service, SENS, and in the press
on 10 September 2014. Ascendis’ results and the annual financial statements have been audited by
PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. whose unqualified reports are available for inspection at the Company’s
registered office.
NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Members are advised that the annual general meeting has been convened for 09:00 on Thursday, 13
November 2014, at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, Rhodes Avenue, Newlands, 7700 to
transact the business stated in the notice of the meeting.
Participation in the annual general meeting will be facilitated by webcasting as well. Relevant details
appear in the notice of the meeting.
