Basil Read is pleased to confirm Ms Wightman’s appointment as CFO and Financial Director of the Company with immediate effect. Ms Wightman joined Basil Read in December 2005, as Group Financial Manager, and has been acting as the interim CFO of the Group for the past 11 months. She is a chartered accountant with more than 20 years of experience. Ms Wightman spent five years at AECI Limited in the company’s treasury department, culminating in her appointment as treasury accountant. Miss Wightman also worked for Standard Bank for seven years, where she completed her financial management (TOPP) articles and gained valuable experience in the company’s Africa Division.
