VMR TO CONSIDER STRATEGIC VALUE REALISING OPTIONS FOR THE COMPANY AND CAUTIONARY
                                 ANNOUNCEMENT


VMR shareholders are advised that the Board of directors of the Company (“the Board”) has
resolved to evaluate strategic alternatives to unlock value for its shareholders. This decision has
been driven by the Company receiving a number of unsolicited approaches from third parties to
acquire either the company or certain of its assets. To this end the Company has appointed Qinisele
Resources Proprietary Limited, a specialist resources corporate finance boutique, to formalize the
process and to explore strategic alternatives in order to realise value for VMR shareholders. The
alternatives may include, among others, the sale of some or all of the Company’s assets.


VMR shareholders are accordingly advised that the Company may enter into negotiations, which if
successfully concluded may have a material effect on the price of the Company's securities.
Accordingly, shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the Company's securities
until a further announcement is made.
