NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY
OR CONNECTED PERSONS

Notifications made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure Rules and Transparency
Rules.

1.   The Company was notified on 8 October 2014 that on 6 October 2014 the following persons discharging
     managerial responsibilities (the “Participants”) acquired ordinary shares of 25p each in British American
     Tobacco p.l.c. (the “Shares”) at a price of 3,499 pence per Share as a result of the reinvestment of income
     by their ISA Manager.
     The number of Shares acquired by each Participant was as follows:

2.   The Company was notified on 9 October 2014 by the trustee of the British American Tobacco Employee
     Share Ownership Plan (the “UK Plan”) that on 30 September 2014 the following Executive Directors and
     persons discharging managerial responsibilities acquired ordinary shares of 25p each in British American
     Tobacco p.l.c. at a price of 3,483.242 pence per Share as a result of the reinvestment of dividends by the
     trustee in accordance with the UK Plan.
     The number of Shares acquired by each Participant in the UK Plan was as follows:

     the cash equivalent of the Company’s 2014 interim dividend on shares held on their behalf by
     Computershare Company Nominees Limited as administrator of the Company’s vested share account.
     The number of Shares acquired by each Participant was as follows:
